Before the solution, ask the right questions.
Across two situations, practise clarifying a need before proposing training or a tool. Choose a response, examine the reasoning and reuse the principle in a different context.
Put this into practice:identify the people involved, a concrete difficulty and an observable change.

Situation 1 of 2
Your starting point
“We need a workshop for the team.”
A manager wants a workshop on communication and asks for a quick proposal. You do not yet know who will attend, which situations are difficult or what the team needs to be able to do afterwards.
Consider what each response helps you understand, and what it still leaves unclear.
A guide to keep for your projects.
Before choosing a format or tool, ask: who is it for, what is the situation and what change is wanted? A useful response connects these three elements. Review your choices to check that you can explain the connection.
The learning design behind the exercise
A situation, a choice, feedback, another try.
The first case helps identify a way of reasoning. Each response explains what your choice prioritises and what it leaves out. The second case lets you apply the principle elsewhere: this is transfer.
Your expertise can become this kind of activity.
From your situations and documents, we can design activities around what participants need to be able to do. This exercise is illustrative and does not represent a client outcome.
